About YLMPA ( Youth and Land Multi- Stakeholder Plateform in Africa )

YLMPA is more than just a platform initiated by AUC-DARBE (Africa Union), International Land Coalition (ILC), Landesa, IGAD and YILAA. Our ultimate goal is to bring together diverse land actors in Africa to unite their efforts and promote young people’s access to land, land control, ownership, and use. The platform aims to strengthen the mobilization and representation of youth in land governance processes at all levels in Africa; amplify youth leadership and enhance their capacity to participate and influence land governance processes in Africa; provide a political dialogue framework between youth and decision-makers on the continent, and finally, bridge the knowledge gap through the development and dissemination of data. We aspire to a future where the land is preserved in all its splendor, where women’s rights are unwavering and respected, and where communities thrive in balanced harmony with their environment. Our vision is one of a world where every individual has the opportunity to flourish while contributing to the preservation of our planet.
