Youth are also involved in Fisheries and Aquaculture Management Practices. They are important in value chain addition in most of our small- scale fisheries sector.
This was witnessed and observed during my field work research at Ilaje fishing communities Ondo state, Nigeria in West Africa.
Youth voices must be heard especially in creating and supporting them with funds. This funds must be adequately monitored for the intended purpose- value addition of the fishery products, thereby improving their livelihood and eradicating poverty in their communities.
