This information sharing practice targets youth and women farmers in Ouagadougou and Loumbila. The main aim of this exercise is to create awareness of Yilaa’s efforts to help women and youth have access to and own land. The practice also gives a platform for youth to engage with farmers on the impacts of COVID-19 on agricultural production.
From the discussions, women and youth in Ouagadougou and Loumbila are experiencing the challenges below :
- Women and youth farmers in the urban areas of Ouagadougou are unable to access land
- Inadequate knowledge on texts and laws relating to their land rights.
