Women in Law and Development in Africa in collaboration with Landesa Africa and Stand for Her Land Campaign (S4HL) are pleased to invite you to an upcoming webinar Session, to commemorate International Widows Day. The session is scheduled to take place on 25th June 2024. It will focus on sharing experiences and best practices at the Pan-African level, specifically concerning laws and strategies for securing widows’ land rights in Africa.
The theme for this session is “Empowering Widows: Securing Land Rights and Combating Gender-Based Violence in Africa.” This webinar aims to provide a platform for sharing experiences related to widows’ land rights, highlighting the challenges faced and the successful strategies implemented across various African regions. It is a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and collaborate with our counterparts across the continent to strengthen our efforts in securing land rights for widows and addressing the associated gender-based violence.
